Taking stock of dual language learner identification and strengthening procedures and policies [Executive summary]


A scan of federal, state, and local programs and policies shows considerable variation in approaches to collecting information about the linguistic characteristics of young children and their families. It also points to some promising practices that can be built upon to identify DLLs in a more systematic, meaningful way. (author abstract)
